Indian Education Open Enrollment is now available for the 2009-10 school year. Please provide a copy of the child’s tribal citizenship to the Office of Indian Education. If you are still in the process of researching that information, please contact the office to include your child in the Title VII Indian Education project that is available for 2nd degree descendents of tribally enrolled members.
Activities planned for the 2009-10 school year include:
Johnson-O’Malley Indian Education Projects: partial payment of school book fees; partial payment of senior cap and gowns, participation in Cherokee Nation cultural competitions; cultural field trips.
Title VII Indian Education Projects: after-school cultural program featuring field trips, cultural arts and crafts instruction, and Cherokee language instruction; counseling for college and postsecondary programs; RMS Native American Club; FKHS Native American Club; field trips to cultural and historic sites, as well as colleges and universities.
